Christine SchmidI am a doctoral candidate at the Institute for European Ethnology at Humboldt University and research associate at the Cluster of Excellence Image Knowledge Gestaltung.

My research interest comprise Social Anthropology of Science and Technology, Medical Anthropology, and the Anthropology of Knowledge and Expertise.

My PhD project focuses on the everyday production and negotiation of experiential expertise within the field of “Genesungsbegleitung” (professional peer support in psychiatric care) – an upcoming profession in Germany. At the Cluster of Excellence “Image Knowledge Gestaltung”, my research focuses on the description and analyses of interdisciplinary research practices at the Cluster of Excellence.
